Dave Lewis is the founder of Kargo Master and KMS. He lives in the hills of Northern California not far from the factory. They don’t make them like Dave anymore. He is a man of rare qualities and unique talents, short on words, long on deeds. He is an avid horseman, hunter and an accomplished archer. He is a born and bred motorcyclist and can’t resist the call of the open road.
Dave has made everything under the sun at one time or another. His knowledge and expertise in design and fabrication are at the heart of every product we make. His legacy was made the hard way, no shortcuts, just years of blood sweat and tears. Don’t look for him in the boardroom...He’s on the shop floor setting up the next job.
Rustin Smith is currently President of Kargo Master Safari. He lives on a cattle ranch in eastern Oregon and hates being indoors. He loves anything with wheels and tires, especially the knobby kind. He spends more time than most inside or underneath heavy equipment. His best years were bounced away in a Jeep, as the founder of Rubicon Express he brings a solid off-road background. He has passion for designing and developing new products that create value and utility for your vehicle. As a true enthusiast he leads the whole KM Safari team in our quest to reinvent roof racks and produce the best rack system money can buy.
Part of the Kargo Master team since 2002, Adam is an exceptionally talented machinist who can literally create nearly anything we dream up. Born into a family of wheelers and raised off-road, Adam bought his first Jeep at 14 and has owned and customized almost every model produced including Willys, Jeepsters, CJ's, JK's and more. Responsible for prototyping and developing the Safari line, Adam loves to personally field test every Safari product and always subjects them to the most extreme conditions. Sure, some may call it work but for a guy who lives and breathes off-road adventure this is a labor of love. Ready to see your idea come to life? Share it with Adam and if it passes his real world test you might just see it on your own Jeep soon!

As the General Manager of KMS Erika wears many hats. Having previously spent time supporting Kargo Master's commercial division she knows what it takes to channel the teams strong opinions, creative personalities and incredible passion. Originally from Coeur d'Alene Idaho, her love for tall trees and trails runs deep in her blood although having spent 17 years in the Arizona desert you can trust she knows how to dodge a rattlesnake or two as well. Equally tenacious and unrelenting as she is kind and customer focused, Erika's favorite part of the job is watching an idea grow from a conversation around a fire pit, to a finished product. She take's pride in knowing that KMS's sole purpose is to make adventure accessible and personally lives by the motto....."Life has no rehearsals."
